Perhaps it was the best party in the history of the 7 Summits Club. First of all, thanks to famous Russian skydiver and basejumper Valery Rozov, which came out three times on the podium. His presence inspired all the other speakers be concise and accurate time. For the first time, our guides have prepared almost all the reports in the form of slide-films. Our friend and partner Noel Hanna, Northern Ireland based adventure sports trainer and endurance athlete finished his project named 7 SUMMITS TO SEALEVEL. It means climbing Seven summits of the world's highest peaks, followed by seven arduous and top-speed descents to Sea Level. February 10. Today the Russian famous climber, the youngest Russian climbers on Everest, guide of 7 Summits Club Sergei Kofanov went from Moscow to Argentina. His destination is highest mountain of South America – Aconcagua (not for the first time). But now it is climbing as part of his new project "7 Summits in one year”. He started this project in the summer of 2008. And he already has climbed: Kilimanjaro (for the seventh time), Elbrus (for the fifth time), Carstensz, Kosciuszko (for the third time) and Mount Vinson. On January 2 ten members of 7 Summits Club stood on top of Mount Vinson in Antarctica. One of them was Ludmila Korobeshko. Now she is the first Russian woman who has climbed all 7 Summits! We joyfully congratulate her!!! Details » |

Everest is difficult and dangerous mountain and climbing Everest is a big risk even in good conditions. Situation today shows us that everything is against successful climb in this year. It is possible to make summit at "any price", but in this nervous situation, expeditions` Leaders and members have big chance to make a mistake and get in a trouble. We are discussing that:-probably Chineses will climb before 1 May,- Probably Nepal will let us climb till C3 or even South Col,- maybe it is possible to get some acclimatization on the small peaks and then climb Everest for 3 weeks.... About 200 hundred climbers from our Alpindustria Travel Company have visited the Southern Hemisphere during last two month. We sent many groups to Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Kosciuszko, and Carstenz, mountain peaks being part of Seven Summits programme. As well as to mountains of Ecuador and Patagonia. Big success rate was in all destination except Aconcagua. The bad weather in the region of Aconcagua had forced many of our climbers to abandon ascent. 11th of February four climbers led by Igor Svergun had reached the summit of Aconcagua. Boris Korshunov (born 31.08.1935) has signed a contract with Alexander Abramova (7 Summit Club). This time he will go to the summit of Everest not as an extreme sportsman, but as an usual client. An idea of high-speed and oxygen-free ascent is postponed. But the record of age can be established. The last autumn Boris has climbed Cho Oyu, starting from the camp 2, from of 7000 meters. Sergey Kofanov has arrived to the Alpindustria office on Friday. Не was met by pancakes with caviar. That was what he wanted the most when first time had spoken by telephone from the base camp after climb.Valery Babanov returned to the Motherland next day, exactly in his birthday. Our great climber was born 10.11.1964 in Siberia. Already in the evening both climber heroes have visited a party arranged for them by Risk.ru.
